- Great gift ideaChosen for real-world gifting
- Hand-pickedCurated, not scraped
- Honest reviewThe catch, not just the hype
Why this gift works
A 30-piece set of synthetic nylon brushes plus a paint spatula, in a case that stands up on the table. The brushes run from broad flats and rounds to filberts, fans and fine detail brushes in a spread of sizes, and Nicpro pitches them for acrylic, oil, watercolor and gouache.
It is the practical gift for someone whose brushes have gone splayed and stiff, or a beginner who doesn't yet know which shapes they will use most. With this many, a few can be saved for detail work while the rest take the rough jobs.
Who is this gift for?
Great for
- A painter whose old brushes have gone splayed and stiff
- A beginner still working out which shapes they like
Think twice if
- They are particular about a premium brush brand
- They work only with markers or digitally
The catch
It is an affordable synthetic set, not hand-made professional brushes, so a serious painter may still keep a few premium brushes for fine work.
Skip for a painter who already has a well-kept brush collection they are particular about.
Worth knowing before you buy
- The bristles are synthetic nylon.
- Pair it with a brush cleaner to make them last.
Why we like it
- A shape for every kind of stroke
- The case stands open on the table while they work
- Enough brushes to keep some just for detail
