- Great gift ideaChosen for real-world gifting
- Hand-pickedCurated, not scraped
- Honest reviewThe catch, not just the hype
Why this gift works
A tabletop easel in solid beech with a hand-rubbed oil finish. The canvas holder tilts to the angle they like and takes canvases up to 11 by 14 inches, a drawer underneath holds paint and brushes, and a wooden palette comes with it.
For anyone painting at the kitchen table, it turns a flat surface into a proper setup in a minute, then folds back into a box about 13 by 10 inches for the shelf. MEEDEN also suggests it as a stand for books or a tablet.
Who is this gift for?
Great for
- Someone who paints at the kitchen table
- A student with no room for a floor easel
Think twice if
- They paint on canvases bigger than 11 x 14 inches
- They already have a studio easel
The catch
It needs some assembly, and 11 x 14 inches is the biggest canvas it holds - anyone working larger needs a floor easel.
Skip for a painter who works on large canvases or already has a studio easel set up.
Worth knowing before you buy
- It holds canvases up to 11 x 14 inches.
- Some assembly is needed.
Why we like it
- Turns any table into a painting setup
- A drawer keeps paints and brushes together
- Folds into a compact box
- Solid beech, not particleboard
