The SET Card Game from PlayMonster is 81 cards, each showing one to three diamonds, ovals or squiggles in red, green or purple with solid, striped or open shading. Twelve cards go face up and everyone races to find three where each feature is all the same or all different; the most sets wins. It is for ages 6 and up and one or more players, and it was a Mensa Select winner in 1991.
Nobody takes turns and nobody gets an edge from age or reading ability, which makes it one of the few games where a sharp tween can beat the adults.
